Welcome to UK4Profit.co.uk version 3.0. Yes, this is the third incarnation of the site. Those of you who have followed it's progress since inception will hopefully appreciate the new style. If not, please let us know as we are always open to suggestions.

The aim of UK4Profit is to provide the ultimate resource for affiliate marketing in the UK. So what is affiliate marketing? For those of you who do not know, where have you been! Seriously, though, affiliate marketing is a long-established marketing method that has been employed to great effect in the USA. The concept is still relatively new to the UK, but is gaining in popularity at an alarming rate, as UK companies begin to realise the huge potential offered.

The concept works as follows: the owner of a website can apply to join a programme operated by, for example, a retailer (the merchant) and become an affiliate. They can then link to the merchants site and will receive an agreed level of commission, should any visitor to the affiliate site follow this link and purchase from the merchant.

There are many benefits of this method for both parties. The merchant will receive an increased amount of traffic from their affiliates and, hopefully, this traffic can be converted into sales. The affiliate can earn significant commission revenue from a well-placed link, as well as content for his site in the form of text links, banner ads, content units or even product feeds.

This site brings together all (or as many as possible) of the programmes currently available in the UK. There are currently over 3500 to choose from on our site (nearly 200 of these are independent), so you should be able to find some to suit you! These are fully categorised to enable the user to identify those programmes that are relevant to the content of his/her own site.
